Warranty conditions

01/01/2020 - Next Generation
Under the conditions described below, Jo Beau, as manufacturer, enters into a warranty obligation for new machines:

I. Warranty period:

The warranty period begins on delivery by the dealer to the customer (max. 1 week after purchase) and expires:
  • As shown in the table below:
  • The installation of replacement parts will not extend the warranty period. In order to be able to benefit from this warranty as a customer, one must be able to present his purchase invoice. Jo Beau doubles the above warranty period (read: not the working hours) if the device is registered maximum two weeks after the date of purchase. There are two possibilities:
  1. You register the purchase at https://www.jobeau.eu/en/machine/register.
  2. Or you fill in the registration card enclosed with your manual and send it back to Jo Beau products.

II. When warranty does not apply:

  • Wear parts are not covered by the warranty : (knives, bearings, belts, tires, lights, fuses,...)
  • If it appears that the defect is the result of improper use, neglect or consequential damage due to external influences (crushed stone, gravel, foreign objects, accident).
  • If it appears that the defect is the result of failure to carry out the prescribed periodic maintenance.
  • If a defect arose after repair by a non-approved Jo Beau dealer or with non-original Jo Beau parts.
  • If the defect is a result of unauthorized modification of the original design of the machine.
  • If the defect results from use that does not conform to the instructions in the manual.
  • If the prescribed warranty procedure is not followed or the warranty period has expired.
  • For engine defects, please contact an authorized service centre of the engine brand (Honda, Briggs & Stratton).
  • External causes such as damage during transport or due to weather conditions.

III. Procedure:

Stap 1:
At the time of purchase, the device is registered either via the website www.jobeau.eu or via the registration card provided. The web registration or the return of the completed registration card takes place within two weeks after purchase. The customer will keep a copy of the registration confirmation or card, the other statements and his purchase invoice until after the expiry of the warranty period.

Stap 2:
When a defect occurs, the customer has this established by his authorized Jo Beau dealer. If the trader considers, in accordance with the conditions, that there is a manufacturing defect, he can apply for a warranty.

Stap 3:
An official application form must be completed in full. The trader can obtain these forms from Jo Beau (info@jobeau.eu).

Quick procedure:
  1. The warranty request must be accompanied by clear photos of the defective part and serial number plate (by e-mail). This allows us to react quickly if the photos and description are clear enough to qualify the warranty claim.
  2. Jo Beau automatically sends the parts to the dealer in case of warranty.
  3. In case no warranty is granted, Jo Beau will ask if these parts can be delivered in return for payment.
Normal procedure:
  1. The dealer orders the parts needed to carry out the repair. In addition to the order document, he also sends (email) the completed application form and a copy of the registration card.
  2. This warranty form of the client will be attached to a copy of the purchase invoice and will be sent to Jo Beau together with the defective part.
  3. Jo Beau will send the ordered parts to the dealer under normal delivery and payment conditions.
  4. Jo Beau’s technical service will examine the abnormal breakage and will rule on the cause, confirming or rejecting the warranty. In any case, Jo Beau reserves the right to decide whether the client has fulfilled the conditions for validity of this warranty.
  5. In case the warranty request is accepted, Jo Beau will credit the warranted parts.

IV. In case of transport damage

  • Goods are delivered ex-works, the transport risk is at the expense of the customer.
  • It is therefore important to check the goods for damage upon delivery.
  • If damage is found, this will be reported on the delivery note before signing for receipt. Have the report on your statement signed by the truck driver.
  • Without this written and signed notification on the delivery note, the transport insurance will waive all liability.
  • With a copy of the source of delivery and a motivation letter, compensation can be claimed from the transport company.
  • The damaged machine will be kept in its original condition until after the possible expertise of the insurance company of the transport company.
